Exmouth RNLI called out three times on a windy and rainy Sunday
Crew volunteers from Exmouth RNLI were called to the aid of a yacht, two speed boats and a missing kite surfer on Sunday 28 July. Relief Coxswain Matt Simpson from Ilfracombe RNLI led the yacht rescue in Lyme Bay.

Exmouth RNLI called to the aid of a kitesurfer and a trimaran
Crew volunteers rescued a novice kitesurfer from the Exmouth’s ‘duckpond’ in the rising tide on 25 July. Later that afternoon, the inshore lifeboat was tasked to rescue two people in the water after their trimaran capsized near the marina.

Three call-outs for Exmouth RNLI in one afternoon
Crew volunteers from Exmouth RNLI were called out three times within four hours on the afternoon of 24 July. A pregnant lady, a sinking speed boat and a missing boat adrift in the river Exe all encountered the rapidly rising flood tide.

On the afternoon of 22 July, both the all-weather and inshore lifeboats from Exmouth RNLI were called to rescue two yachts in difficulty in Lyme Bay.

Exmouth RNLI rescue spaniel Missy after cliff fall
On 19 July at 3pm, Brixham coastguard tasked the charity’s inshore lifeboat, George Bearman after a call from a member of the public. A dog had fallen from a cliff, close to the Geoneedle at Orcombe point.

Exmouth RNLI assist casualty on Dawlish Warren beach
Crew volunteers on exercise responded to RNLI lifeguards on Dawlish beach at 12.40pm on 15 July. An elderly lady had been found face down in the sea and dragged ashore by several holidaymakers.

Sun shines for Exmouth RNLI Sea Sunday service
Exmouth RNLI held their annual Sea Sunday service on 14 July at the boathouse on Queens Drive. Reverend James Hutchings, Priest-in-charge of Littleham-cum-Exmouth with Lympstone Mission Community took the service, leading prayers and hymns for those who work and live by the sea.
