Jamie’s recycled creations help Exmouth RNLI save lives at sea
Jamie Howard (7) from East Finchley in London has been creating his own collection boxes to help raise money for his favourite charity. The seven year old visited Exmouth lifeboat station to hand over £40 collected from his family and friends.

Exmouth lifeboats help rescue seven people from the water within one afternoon
On the afternoon of 3 August, vigilant Exmouth RNLI volunteers spotted a total of seven people in difficulty in Lyme Bay. Six casualties from a capsized motor boat and a swimmer in danger were brought to safety by the charity’s Shannon and D class lifeboats.

After two call-outs, Exmouth Lifeboat volunteers held their annual Sea Sunday service on 13 July at the boathouse on Queens Drive. Chaplain Reverend James Hutchings took the service, leading prayers and hymns for those who work and live by the sea.

Exmouth RNLI rescue wheelchair woman from river Exe
Both Exmouth lifeboats were tasked by Portland Coastguard at 7.15pm on 9 July, after reports from the public that a wheelchair user had disappeared after swimming in the river Exe.
